Elements are the things everyone uses to make their techniques. To keep people from going crazy and making way too many techniques and using every single element elemental experience is used. This thread is to tell you how they are used in case you didn't understand from the information in the character template.
When you create your character you begin with a certain amount of elemental experience that you can divide into any element depending on your position. Just like regular stats experience can get more elemental experience if I'm impressed by your bio. You have a certain experience amount for every single element you know. If you did not start with an element you cannot learn it later on unless you do a lot of training with someone that knows the element. Also every element you begin with must have at least 300 elemental experience in it. This will stop people from going around with 10 elements but about 20 experience in each. When creating moves or giving your character a move you do not subtract the required experience from your element experience. For example if you have 1000 water techniques you can learn two water techniques that require a 1000 water experience or more. But try to be realistic in your bios. For example if you 10 techniques and you're just an apprentice your bio will get denied. It's not very likely that you'll have that many techniques with so little time to perfect the element even if the techniques are extremely weak. You'll be able to learn plenty of other techniques as you progress so there's no reason for you to try and make as many moves as you can think of with only 500 experience in an element experience area. Also to get rid of some confusion about techniques and strength here's some examples for strength of a technique.
300-500 weak moves that can cause damage or help you, but won't get you too far. Most apprentices or people that have positions like that have moves like these.
600-900 are moderate moves that do normal damage. They will help in battle and don't take too much out of you. They aren't very strong but because of the low amount of energy they use they are the most common.
1000-1500 are strong moves. They take a lot of energy out of most people unless you have like twice the amount experience of the experience required.
1700-2500 Are powerful moves. Unless you have twice the amount of experience required for these moves you'll usually only be able to use them one time.
3000-4000 are extreme moves. These moves are created at a point where you're close to becoming a master of an element but you aren't quite there. These move can be very dangerous because you're not supposed to be able to use them unless you've mastered the element, but somehow you learned them. So without mastering the element which uses these moves there's a chance you'll die when you use these moves.
5000- You've finally mastered the element! And you're hard work will finally pay off. When you master an element you can use any powerful, strong, moderate, or weak technique without it taking a lot of energy out of you. You also get ultimate techniques. These are very dangerous. Since you've mastered the element extreme moves aren't very life-threatening but ultimate moves are. You can only have one that no one else can use so try and be original. When you use these moves there's a 50% chance you'll die. So if you use one make sure it's worth it.
You don't have to train any element farther than this because it won't help you.
So how do you increase your element experience? Just like normal experience really. You can train an element in solo training which will get you 5-10 per post you do. Sometimes it may be less than that if you didn't put that much effort into them. Or you can train with someone who has way more experience in an element than you do. If you do that you'll gain 30-50+ per page you do. Also if you're going to learn another element you must train with someone that knows that element. This will usually take a while and will take a lot of patience. It will have to be with another person and not by you doing the posts alone. You cannot train once your elemental experience has reached 1000. So most of the time training will be done by apprentices. You can also gain experience from battle. Gaining elemental experience in battle is not the same as gaining normal experience. In battle depending on the moves you use you'll get different amounts of experience for an element. For example if you control water and fire elements and in a battle you just use fire techniques it doesn't make since to give you experience you can use on water when you didn't use a water technique in the entire battle. So you'll get a certain amount of fire experience that will go into your total fire experience. Usually the amount will range from 20-50+ per page depending on how many techniques you used.
Now for aura release. As you begin to train a certain element enough you'll be able to release an aura from your body. This will allow you to increase the power of all techniques that are of that aura type. Each aura has a different appearance depending on the element. For example releasing a fire aura may have fire engulf your body where relasing a plant aura may cause plants to grow around you. These are merely examples and in the end it's up to you what the appearance of your aura release is. There are three levels of aura release for each element. I'm going to let you decide on the appearance change between levels. Every time you get the required element stat to reach a aura release you must train to obtain the aura release. The training posts required will be stated below along with the experience required.
1st aura release-1000 stat points required. 3 post training each post being descriptive about what you're doing.
2nd aura release-2500 stat points required. 5 post training each post being very descriptive about what you're doing.
3rd aura release-5000 stat points required. Once you obtain this you'll be able to make ultimate moves. You must do a seven post training and like the others each post must be very descriptive about what you're doing. This is very hard to obtain even though you've probably earned it just by being able to get the experience points required. It's hard mostly because you're getting a powerful release and the ability to use ultimate moves.
Also when you're using an aura release your techniques of that aura will be stronger. But they take up more energy and the aura release itself takes up a lot of energy.
